Site work and paving for a civil project in Bowmanville, Ontario. Design plans call for paving for a road / highway; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Rehabilitation of Liberty Street (RR14) from Baseline Road to King Street. The modifications will be on Liberty Street from approximately 200 metres south of Baseline Road to 100 metres north of King Street East; along Baseline Road from 200 metres west of Liberty Street to 350 metres east of Liberty Street; and along King Street East from 150 metres west of Liberty Street South to 150 metres east of Liberty Street. The road pavement for Liberty Street and Baseline Road will be fully reconstructed within the project limits. The proposed transportation improvements include two-way left-turn lanes, a new multi-use path on Liberty Street, new bus pads, and intersection modifications. Intersection modifications at the Liberty Street and Baseline Road intersections will include new traffic signals, new northbound and westbound right-turn lanes and modifications to the taper and storage lengths of the existing turning lanes. The intersection modifications at the Liberty Street/King Street intersection will include changes to the storage and taper lengths of the right-turn and left-turn lanes to increase the intersection capacity. As a result of the road widening and future MUP, the storm sewer will have to be replaced and sized to accommodate the additional stormwater runoff. The existing watermain and sanitary sewer on Liberty Street is reaching the end of its lifecycle and will be replaced as a part of this project. Within this project, the existing watermain on Baseline Road from Hunt Street to Soper Creek / Simpson Avenue South will also be replaced. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. Utility relocations are required. Construction is not anticipated prior to 2027. Updates may be available late spring 2026.
