The work shall be completed on or before 06/30/2022 from the Notice to Proceed and in general the project includes: SANITARY SEWER, STORM DRAIN LINES & CATCH BASIN CLEANING. Estimate: $200,000 Minimum rates of wages to be paid on the project have been determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development under the provisions of Sections 26 & 27, Chapter 149 of the General Laws. Wage rates are listed in the Contract form portion of specification book. Each General Bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid. Deposits shall be in the form of a BID BOND, CERTIFIED, TREASURER'S or CASHIER'S CHECK payable to the University of Massachusetts. Deposits shall be returned in accordance with the law. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 44A 44I inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. Messenger and other type of pickup and delivery services are the agent of the bidder and the University assumes no responsibility for delivery or receipt of the documents. No personal checks or cash will be accepted as deposits. Refunds will be made to those returning the documents in satisfactory condition on or before 10/22/2021, otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the University. be performed under the contract.
C. The services will be primarily limited to the Amherst Campus, however, the University reserves the
right to require such services at facilities in Belchertown, Hadley, and South Deerfield, which are under
the jurisdiction of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus.
D. The University reserves the right to require the Contractor to perform all services required under this
document at up to two (2) sites, simultaneously. Therefore, the Contractor shall have adequate
manpower and equipment readily available. Each on-site crew shall consist of one (1) equipment
operator and all equipment required for each worksite and, if required at the discretion of the University,
one (1) laborer.
