As of 6/20/2022 project was already awarded for $1,897,899.60. The Bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work for the construction of the following project: TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR LCP AT LANDING BLVD, MAGNOLIA MEADOW LN, AND BAY AREA BLVD (TR2001) Bid No. 22-031 The project consists of traffic improvements at three intersections along League City Parkway. The project consists of the construction of eastbound and westbound left-turn lanes and a northbound right-turn lane at League City Parkway at Landing Boulevard, a northbound right-turn lane at League City Parkway at Magnolia Meadow Lane, and northbound and westbound right-turn lanes and eastbound and westbound left-turn lanes at League City Parkway at Bay Area Boulevard. The project includes construction of three (3) fully actuated traffic signals at the project intersections. Bid documents may be obtained from, search League City, Galveston County. Bidders must register on this website in order to view and/ or download specifications, plans, and bid documents for this project. There is NO charge to view or download documents. All inquiries about this bid or specifications must be made in writing to the League City Purchasing Department, at purchasing@ leaguecitytx.gov. The city shall not be responsible for any verbal communication between any employee of the City and any potential firm. Only written requirements and qualifications will be addressed. The Bidder's deposit shall be forfeited and become the property of the OWNER in the event the Bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract and to furnish bonds acceptable to the OWNER within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Award from the OWNER. The Bid Deposit of all except the three lowest Bidders will be returned within 10 calendar days after the opening of the bids. The Bid Deposit of the three lowest bidders will be returned within 7 working days after the executed contract and required Bonds have been fully approved by the OWNER. The surety company must have a minimum Best Key Rating of "B", or if the surety company does not have such a rating due to the length of time it has existed, the surety company must be eligible to participate in the surety bond guarantee program of the Small Business Administration and must be an approved surety listed in the current U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570, and must meet all of the related rules and regulations of the Treasury Department. Upon consideration of the proposals the City Council plans to award a Contract; however, the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to it. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection, with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. A. Section Includes: 1. Excavation, Embedment and Backfill for: a. Pressure Applications 1) Water Distribution or Transmission Main 2) Wastewater Force Main 3) Reclaimed Water Main b. Gravity Applications 1) Wastewater Gravity Mains 2) Storm Sewer Pipe and Culverts 3) Storm Sewer Precast Box and Culverts 2. Including: a. Excavation of all material encountered, including rock and unsuitable materials b. Disposal of excess unsuitable material c. Site specific trench safety d. Pumping and dewatering e. Embedment f. Concrete encasement for utility lines g. Backfill h. Compaction General 1. Before any newly constructed potable water mains will be permitted to be placed into service in the League City Public Works Department's Water Distribution System, it shall be cleaned (purged) and tested, or cleaned, disinfected, and tested until the bacteria count within the water main meets the standards established by the League City Public Works Department and the requirements of Chapter 290 of the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) 1. Ductile Iron Pipe 3-inch through 64-inch for potable water, wastewater, and reuse applications. 2. Ductile Iron Fittings 3-inch through 64-inch for potable water, wastewater, and reuse applications for use with Ductile Iron Pipe (all sizes) and C900 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pipe (4-inch through 12-inch). 3. Mechanical wedge type retainer glands. 4. Ductile Iron external joint restraint harness for 4-inch through 12-inch C900 PVC Pipe. The deadline for bidders to submit questions is changed to 5:00 pm on Friday, April 8, 2022.
