The Contractor will protect the existing utilities on the site while excavating the grass, removing existing sidewalks and other associated demolition. This project shall also include placement of fill, associated drainage, sodding, fencing, sidewalks and paving to construct the proposed soccer fields and grassed parking. All excess fill, construction and demolition debris shall be disposed of by the Contractor. Upon completion of the project, the site shall be left in a neat and clean condition. All workmanship and materials shall conform to the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (Latest Edition) and the FDOT Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction (Latest Edition). Owner reserves the right to issue direct purchase orders for any or all materials and equipment as bid by the successful bidder The Public Construction bond and specified insurance are required to be secured from or countersigned by an agency of the surety or insurance company, which agency shall have an established place of business in Florida and be duly licensed to conduct business therein. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid; to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause; and/or to accept the bid that in his judgment will be in his best interest.
