Renovation of a water / sewer project in Sandusky, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
All questions shall be directed to Jane Cullen, Assistant City Engineer jcullen@ci.sandusky.oh.us in writing via email no later than 8:00am on Friday, April 8, 2022 Prevailing Wage Rates and the City's Equal Opportunity Requirements are applicable to the Contract. The intent of this project to replace five existing variable frequency drives (VFD) that control low service pumps (LSP)and high service pumps (HSP) at the City of Sandusky's water treatment plant known as Big Island Water Works Plant (BIWW). There are to be four VFDs that control low service pumps and one VFD that controls a high service pump to be replaced. The contractor is to replace existing VFDs with new ones including system integration and any electrical needs that will be required to make the VFDs fully operational. These VFDs are located in the administrative building located at 2425 First Street. They are all controlled through controlled through PCL#3 which is located in the same building. A pre-bid site meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6 th at 9:00am at BIWW, contractors are encouraged to attend. This is to show contractors the existing facilities and work to be done, a formal agenda will not be provided.
