The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals to furnish the necessary labor, equipment, traffic control, material, and any other items to complete the work for sealing of cracks in bituminous pavements by using the Overband Crack Fill. This method consists of cleaning the cracks in the bituminous pavements and placing the specified material into and over the crack to eliminate water infiltration. All materials and placement shall be in accordance with the current version of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Standard Specifications for Construction unless otherwise noted. The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals to furnish services for sealing of cracks in bituminous pavements at various locations throughout Kalamazoo County as specified within. The local road projects for the townships; Alamo, Cooper, Richland, Ross, Oshtemo, Kalamazoo, Comstock, and Charleston, shall be complete prior to June 1, 2022. The primary and local road projects for the townships; Texas, City of Portage, Pavilion, Climax, Prairie Ronde, Schoolcraft, Brady, and Wakeshma, shall be complete prior to July 1, 2022. Scheduling of the local road projects shall be coordinated with RCKC staff to align with our chip seal applications for the year. All other projects shall be complete prior to August 31, 2022. The RCKC reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities and to award the proposal(s) they deem in the best interest of the RCKC. The RCKC reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this bid/RFP, or to negotiate separately with any source whatsoever, in any manner necessary, to serve the best interests of the RCKC. The RCKC does not intend to award a purchase order solely on the basis of any response made to this request, or otherwise pay for the information solicited or obtained.
