This project is for the maintenance and preservation of environmental assets in Prince George's County and the District 3 Office, Upper Marlboro Shop, and Laurel Shop (District 3). Environmental assets include landscape planting beds and tree pits, turf areas, tree planting sites, wetlands, and stream sites. This work involves the completion of various management activities on a regular schedule in accordance with the contract documents. Management of Landscape Areas activities include pruning and foliage removal of perennials, ornamental grasses, bulbs, and flower stalks; weed control within landscape planting beds and tree pits; and litter and debris removal within the limits of the managed areas. Management of Turf Areas activities include mowing; trimming; litter and debris removal; and related work within the limits of the managed areas. The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.
