Qualified Contractors are hereby invited to submit a tender to undertake the Runway 15-33 Rehabilittaion & Lighting Upgrades at the Greater London International Airport. Tenders, on supplied forms will be received at the Greater London International Airport (address/contact information noted below). General The Contractor shall supply all supervision, qualified labour, tools, equipment, and materials to construct the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Project Work includes but is not limited to the following: Supply, installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary devices during the Work. Runway 15-33 Rehabilitation & Lighting Upgrades will involve the following civil work: - Mill asphalt to grade (approximately 100mm depth) within Runway 15-33 Keel Section (middle 30m of the runway). - Mill asphalt to grade (approximately 50mm depth) within Runway 15-33 Non-Keel Sections (outside middle 30m of the runway). - Mill asphalt to grade (approximately 50mm depth) on blast pads at both runway ends and paving 50mm new asphalt. - Mill asphalt to 40mm depth at threshold of Runway 33 and pave 40mm new asphalt. - Place milling material on Airport Roads, grade and compact, stockpile remaining milling on airport property. - 100mm (2-50mm lifts) HMAC asphalt paving in Keel Section and 50mm HMAC Paving in the Non-Keel Sections. - Taxiway A and B fillet reduction including, full depth asphalt removal by milling, taxiway edge light relocation, topsoil placement and hydroseeding etc. - Pavement markings. - Joints sawn and sealed in new HMAC surface including around perimeter joints, around MH/CB structures, matching underlying PCC slab patterns with approved joint sealant material. - Replacement of existing Runway 15 SSALR system complete with new LED approach lights , support structures, footings, raceways, cables, pullpits, isolating transformers, etc.. - Refurbish existing CCR in FEC. - Replacement of Runway 15-33 edge lighting system with new LED runway edge lights. The work includes electrical removals (including existing light fixtures, isolating transformers, stakes, pullpits and cabling), supply and install new cable, HDPE raceway, new LED runway edge light, threshold lights etc. - Relocate existing airfield guidance sign c/w new footing and restoration of previous location. - Finished grading using salvaged and imported topsoil and hydroseeding up to approximately 5.0m from edge of pavement. - Supply and install all other associated materials to provide for a complete installation.
