The Contractor shall be expected to provide civil/environmental engineering as it relates to coal mining, specifically including, but not limited to, the following categories: Q&A date April 12, 2022 at 3:00 pm Permitting, Reclamation, and Mine Engineering Pre-blast surveys Blasting Structural evaluations Drilling, exploratory and monitoring Civil & structural engineering procedures and techniques Photogrammetry Fluvial Geomorphic Stream design Erosion and sediment control according to Maryland Standards Evaluation of ground water resources Evaluation of groundwater quality Site hydrogeologic characterizations Surface water supply Surface water quality modeling Coal combustion by-product utilization and characterization Revegetation and reforestation of surface mines Subsidence prediction and evaluation Landslide stabilization Slope stability analysis and evaluation Water Quality Treatment (active and passive) Site and water problem analysis Design, conceptual and engineering Monitoring Evaluation MBE Subcontracting Goal: 19% with the following subgoals: 3% - Asian-American owned 10%- Women-Owned Under Md. Code Ann., State Finance and Procurement Article, Title 18, if the Commissioner determines that the Contractor/subcontractor violated a provision of this title or regulations of the Commissioner, the Contractor/subcontractor shall pay restitution to each affected employee, and the State may assess liquidated damages of $20 per day for each employee paid less than the Living Wage. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
