This work consists of providing lawn care and landscaping services at the at the State Highway Administration Upper Marlboro Maintenance Shop and other Upper Marlboro maintained buildings for a period of 22 months. The Maryland State Highway Administration is accepting sealed bids from service contractors for Comprehensive lawn care, landscaping, & irrigation maintenance services for the lawn and planting areas shall include but are not limited to the Maintenance Facility located at 6500 S. E. Crain Highway, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 and various areas maintained by Upper Marlboro Maintenance Shop. The contract manager will be Ernie Johnson, Resident Maintenance Engineer at 301-952-0555, and/or other authorized staff he designates verbally to the contractor. Only authorized persons will be allowed to order the contractor to perform work under the contract. Contractor or management of contractor should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in providing similar services. The successful contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all work in accordance with this specification and scope of work in the manner called for, and to the satisfaction of the State Highway Administration. Vendor to use best practices established in the lawn care industry to perform this work. All work to be done in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA and MOSH regulations and standards. Vendor shall be licensed to perform work in the State of Maryland. This is a non-exclusive Contract. It does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this Contract. The Procurement Officer is Ernie Johnson, Resident Maintenance Engineer.
