Project Description: It is the intent of the Commission to obtain a Consultant to provide the following services, but not limited to: A. Perform water valve inspections, condition assessments, minor repairs, and emergency field assistance to improve the operability of valves in the water distribution system. B. Record and validate the location, operational status, and other meaningful information of valves in the water distribution system. C. Assist in asset management efforts to keep track of valves and optimize their operability. D. Provide valve data analysis to determine their current and projected life cycle status. E. Pilot detailed or innovative studies related to valves, as specified by the Commission to support initiatives that collect holistic data (such as investigating hotspots, hydraulic model calibrations, leak detection, district metering, etc.). F. Provide condition assessment, inspections, and minor repairs for Fire Hydrants, lead valves, along with flow rate testing and fire flow test. This contract will be for a base term of three (3) years with one (2) year option to renew if exercised by the Commission. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
