Site work for a water / sewer project in Freeport, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Rehabilitation of approximately 1,800 LF of 8-10" sanitary sewer pipe and manholes. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Freeport or negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Freeport reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Freeport for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Any person with disability requiring special accommodations must contact the City of Freeport no later than 7 days prior to the bid opening. The deadline to ask questions is 4/11/2022 2:00 PM CST
