A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to download electronic documents for this project. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/Registration is required. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Department of Labor or determined by a court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract. The work for which proposals are requested is located at 1937 Municipal Way and will generally consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following major work items: Parking Lot expansion, including grading, aggregate subgrade, Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface courses; Muncipal Way widening for new turn lanes; parking lot resurfacing, depth of 1.5"; concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk improvements; thermoplastic striping; lighting improvements; rain gardens and bioswales; site restoration; and other associated improvements. This project will include a base bid and one alternate. The alternate bid includes modifying the parking lot geometry with additional concrete curb and gutter, lighting and conduit installation, landscaping, and associated work. The Village of Round Lake Beach reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Village. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior Village projects, if any, in the judgment of the Village Board and Village staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days.
