Renovation of an educational facility in Amherst, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Lederle Graduate Research Tower (LGRT) Math Department Renovation. Renovation on the LGRT Tower A Flrs 15-16, Tower B Flrs 13-16, Tower C Flr 16 and includes demolition, hazmat abatement, offices, flooring, doors & Hardware, MEP/FP and other general trades. a. the project consists of the renovation of spaces in Lederle Graduate Research Tower, on floors 13, 14, 15, and 16. b. the Work on the 13th and 14th floors includes installation of carpet in the public corridors, including removal/abatement of ACM floor tile, and replacement of doors and hardware throughout the "B" and "C" wings. No work is scheduled in the "a" wing of these floors except as required to complete the overall work scope. c. the Work on the 15th floor is the demolition of former Chemistry labs and construction of Math Department offices and meeting space in the "a" wing, including abatement of hazardous materials, and installation of new windows. In addition, the work includes installation of carpet in the public corridors, including removal/abatement of ACM floor tile, and replacement of doors and hardware throughout the "B" and "C" wings. d. the Work on the 16th floor is the demolition of former Chemistry labs and construction of Math Department offices and meeting space in the "a" wing, including abatement of hazardous materials, and installation of new windows. At the "C" wing, meeting, lounge and kitchen spaces are to be renovated, and in the "B" wing the work includes installation of carpet in the public corridors, including removal/abatement of ACM floor tile, and replacement of doors and hardware throughout wing. e. Other ancillary work as required and as indicated in the Project Documents. 2. the renovated spaces will house UMA functions. a. the Lederle Graduate Research Tower is a 17 story fully sprinklered high-rise structure, classified as Construction Type IB, and primary Use Group B (Business). Spaces within the building may be classified differently, however. the limited Work Area of the project classifies the work as Level 2 Alteration. the work includes (but is not limited to) trade work in the following areas: 1). Selective Demolition 2). Hazmat Abatement 3). Misc. Metals Estimated Cost $5,923,000 Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate
