The project site is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of 8th Avenue West and Trunk Highway 61 in Grand Marais, Minnesota. The project location is inside the Grand Marais Municipal Campground and Marina. The Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District (hereinafter, the "Funding
Agency") is soliciting Bids for the 8th Ave W Stormwater Pond Reconstruction.
The project is located within the Grand Marais Municipal Campground on
property owned by the City of Grand Marais (hereinafter, the
"Owner"). The Project consists of reconstructing an existing stormwater
detention pond into a stormwater retention pond with increased water storage, a
4-foot-deep permanent pool, a pre-treatment forebay, a bed of washed sand for
infiltration, and an access for pond maintenance. New primary and emergency

The Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District seeks to protect and
restore soil and water resources. Its mission is to improve water quality in Cook
County by fostering responsible land use and by controlling soil erosion and nonpoint source pollution.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder providing evidence of any required pre-qualifications, within 45 days after the bids are received and verified or until state and federal permits are obtained.
