Renovation of a mixed-use development in Littlefork, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Littlefork-Big Falls Public Schools Request for Bids Independent School District #362 is seeking bids on the removal of the skylight to be replaced with a new, enclosed structure in its place and surrounding roof re-roofed with mechanically fastened EPDM roofing. The skylight is to be insulated and roofed with mechanically fastened EPDM roofing to match the surrounding areas. Interior lighting will also need to be installed to make up for lost natural light from the skylight. Work to begin any time after May 29, 2022 and must be completed no later than August 15, 2022. Bids will be awarded at the April 20, 2022 regular meeting of the school board. 1. Removal and disposal of existing skylight and replace with a new structure. a. New structure will be enclosed with noise reducing steel, insulated, finished with added lighting inside, and reroofed with a mechanically fastened EPDM roof to match the adjacent roof including the flat areas next to the skylight structure. 2. Inspection of the bulkhead wall for deterioration and mold must be conducted prior to adding the new structure. If issues are discovered, a remediation plan must be given to Superintendent Jamie Wendt for approval before proceeding. 3. For areas adjacent to skylight structure, remove existing ballast and membranes, down to the existing insulation and dispose of under state and county rules. See areas 12a, 12b, 12d on attached aerial view of the project. a. Install layer of 1/2 " ISO insulation b. Install new mechanically fastened EPDM Roofing at least 0.60ml and adhere to new insulation. 4. Flash all walls/penetrations watertight. 5. Fabricate and install all new prefinished metal gravel stop and counter flashing. 6. Replace old pavers in areas 12a and 12b of the attached aerial view of the project. Dispose of old pavers in a pre-determined site. 7. Equipment and material must meet OSHA Standards. 8. Clean up work area. 9. Provide 20-year manufacturer's warranty on materials and labor.
