Application: .1 In the event of a flood, the City requires closure of the Grand Valley Dike located at 18th Street and Grand Valley Road. Removal following the flood event is also required. .2 Due to the evolving nature of flood events, dike closure may not be required. There is no guarantee of quantities. No payment will be made if the dike closure is not required. .3 The Contractor shall provide all the necessary material, equipment and labour to perform the Work. .4 It is the responsibility of the Contractor to abide by the construction requirements as stated in the City of Brandon Engineering Department Standard Construction Specification Book and General Conditions of the Contract. Documents are available in electronic form on the City of Brandon website https://purchasing.brandon.ca. .5 The Contractor must comply with all Canadian Federal, Provincial, Municipal Safety Regulations and Standards. .6 Appendix 1 indicates the minimum specifications.
