The Wilson County Board of Education (WCBOE, Wilson County Schools) is accepting proposals for the School District's Outsourced Custodial Services. The proposer shall submit sealed proposals using the attached forms included in this document. The following items must be included inside the Sealed Proposal Envelopes Completed Signed Proposal Form & Bid Sheets Completed Drug Free Workplace Affidavit Completed Non-Collusion Affidavit Completed Criminal Background Check Affidavit 5% Bid Bond (the bid bond is required as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into) Once the successful proposer is established through the competitive RFP process, then WCBOE will notify in writing the awarded proposer with our intent to proceed with award of contract. After WCBOE has issued the documented award to the successful bidder, then said bidder must provide to WCBOE the following items within (10) consecutive calendar days from the date of WCBOE award notice. A certificate of liability insurance for an amount no less than $1,000,000 with Wilson County Board of Education listed as an additional insured. A Payment, Performance, Labor and Materials (PPLM) Bond in the amount of $300,000 issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in the state of Tennessee and acceptable to the WCBOE. Bond is required of the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of work under the contract. The overhead cost related to the PPLM Bond is absorbed, captured and reflected in the various bid amounts submitted by the proposers. During the second year of the contract, past experience will be taken into consideration and the payment and performance bond may be waived. If the PPLM Bond is waived during the second year WCBOE will possibility negotiate a subsequent discount in return. First contract period shall begin July 1, 2022, ending June 30, 2023 with WCBOE having the option of extension annually thereafter for up to four (4) optional additional years. WCBOE may elect to extend for additional years with Board of Education approval.
