The intent of this solicitation is to establish an annual requirements contract for crack joint sealing services for the Department of Public Works and Transportation. These services shall include but not limited to cleaning, prepping and sealing cracks on asphalt streets. During performance of work, Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to control dust at all times. The City of Arlington exclusively uses IonWave for the notification and dissemination of all solicitations. The receipt of solicitations through any other means may result in your receipt of incomplete specifications and/or addendums which could ultimately render your bid/proposal non-compliant. The City of Arlington accepts no responsibility for the receipt and/or notification of solicitations through any other means. Question Cutoff Date - 3/31/2022 06:00:00 PM (ET) Vendor shall furnish all equipment and supplies needed to seal cracks on asphalt streets. All equipment and supplies used must be capable of performing all operations in accordance with the specification. Crack Sealing Requirements: o All cracks shall be cleaned and dry before sealing, o Cracks that are 1/8 inch should be routed to 1/4 inch, o A backer rod equal to Cera-Rod (Exhibit A) shall be installed in cracks that are 2 inches deep, o A backer rod shall be compressible, non-shrinking, non-absorbent material with a melting point higher than the temperature of the material. Product Information: o Material shall be Crafco Inc., Polyflex Type 3 (Exhibit B) or City approved equal.
