Scope of work. A. The contractor shall sweep and clean the streets (work area) and patch any and all holes prior to overlay. B. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all debris created during duration of project. C. Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor and equipment required for completion of total overlay. The overlay consists of approximately six (6) blocks (streets are approximately 21'wide and 360' long). D. Contractor shall be responsible for tack coat. Tack will be SS1 50% emulsion and 50% water mix. E. The contractor shall provide a 2" minimum Type B Hot Mix Asphalt and provide a crown in the center of all streets as directed by Town Inspector. Asphalt shall be of a fi ne mix with a maximum of 5/8" rock. F. Edges of street should be healed out, and shouldered back up after asphalt is laid. G. Radiuses will be done; Radiuses will extend 15' on existing streets not covered with asphalt. H. No excess buildup to cause water blockage in low water crossings. I. Vegetation will be killed to expect 21' of roadway. J. Include tons of asphalt per block in bid. K. All driveways and entrances will have a smooth transition when fi nished. L. Contractor will provide a one year guarantee. Filing of bids. the Town of Blair, Oklahoma, will receive sealed bids at the offi ce of the Town Clerk, City Hall, 118 W. Main Street, Blair, Oklahoma or mailed to P.O. Box 458, Blair, OK 73526 on or between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until the 13th day of April, 2022. Bids timely fi led with the Town Clerk shall be publicly opened and read aloud in the Town Council Chamber at the City Hall at council meeting on April 14, 2022. The Owner may award a contract to the successful bidder. C. All sealed bids must be clearly marked "SEALED BID-ASPHALT OVERLAY" in the lower left hand corner. D. The Town Council of the Town of Blair reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
