The work to be performed under this contract includes the milling and resurfacing of various roadways within the Borough of Roseland as identified in the Contract Documents. Also included is spot curb repairs, drainage improvements, guide rail installation, traffic striping and markings, and other incidentals. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid 1 2021 Municipal Aid: 2,810 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 420 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5M64 Surface Course 805 L.F. Belgian Block Curb 675.0 L.F. Beam Guide Rail Base Bid 2 2022 Municipal Aid: 8,835 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 1,330 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Base Bid 3 2022 Road Program: 15,600 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 2,295 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
