The work in this contract consists of work at the Sandy Creek Sewer Lift Station. The project includes the construction of a 1.8 MGD wastewater pump station with a cast-inplace concrete wet well, influent channel grinder, two submersible pumps, discharge piping and flow meter in precast vaults, jib crane, odor control system, electrical building, generator, site piping, fencing, water supply well, and other miscellaneous items. A more detailed summary of work is located in Section 01 11 13 Summary of Work. Sealed Proposals and MWBE Documentation (Affidavits and Good Faith Efforts) must be submitted on the blank forms provided and as specified in the bound copies of the contract documents. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended.
The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the City. Substantial Completion: All Lift Station work shall be substantially complete by August 1, 2023; Final Completion: Work shall be finalized and complete by September 1, 2023.
