Site work and new construction of a parking garage in Irvine, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,690-space parking garage.

The original solicitation is provided below for reference: The following design builders have been prequalified to submit proposals on this project: Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company, Los Angeles, CA 90017, (213) 236-0500 Kitchell Contractors, Inc., San Diego, CA 92121, (858) 947-5144 Swinerton Builders, Santa Ana, CA 92701, (949) 622-7000 In support of the ongoing growth and improvement at the UC Irvine College of Health Sciences (COHS), the University plans to construct the Health Sciences Parking Structure to provide a minimum of 1,690 new parking stalls in a new, modern parking structure with convenient access to the existing COHS academic core, existing clinical buildings, and new buildings planned for the School of Nursing and the School of Pharmacology The Health Science Parking Structure site is located on approximately 6.1 acres in the western part of campus. The project site limits are defined by: - Border of Parking Lot HT to the northeast - Future College of Health Science project to the southeast- - California Avenue to the west The site has the potential of continuing the vibrant character of the campus as well as providing welcoming open space for students, staff and visitors. In addition to the parking structure itself, the project includes the beginnings of a new outdoor green space and wellness trail, improvements to the California Avenue street frontage, a new signalized intersection at California Avenue and Theory Drive, and a spacious vehicular arrival court and drop-off loop. The site improvements should create meaningful outdoor and open spaces for staff and students to connect and thrive while providing necessary parking for the campus. The site improvements should enhance connections to the campus pedestrian, bicycle, and ADA infrastructure and provide links to adjacent buildings and campus facilities. Project completion time: 18 months MAXIMUM ACCEPTANCE COST: $54,160,800 Proposal Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120)
