Alden Community School District -- Alden School Gym Floor Replacement Project Location: 209 Center Street, Alden, Iowa 50006 Removal of existing gymnasium floor, sub-flooring, vented wall base, thresholds, and flooring system accessories. Selective replacement / remedial work of the existing gymnasium floor sleeper system. Installation of new gymnasium floor and subfloor. Finishing of the new gymnasium floor including but not limited to staining, sealing, striping, logos, decals, stenciling and painting. Removal and replacement of in-floor standards cover plates and electrical / telecom cover plates. Installation of new vented wall base, thresholds, and flooring system accessories. Qualified plan houses receive all sets free of charge, provided they log all usage of the documents and return them, in a reusable condition, within ten (10) days after award of the project. Contractor is responsible for demounting, temporarily relocating, and reinstallation of existing gymnasium telescopic bleachers and below stage storage trolleys. Stage Floor & Stairs: Replacement / remedial work of the existing wood stage floor and stage access stairs. Removal and replacement of vented wall base, in-floor electrical / telecom cover plates, thresholds, and flooring system accessories. Refinishing of refurbished stage floor & stairs including but not limited to staining & sealing. Each bid must be accompanied, in a separate envelope, by a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount with a certified check or bank draft. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will also be required. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.
