As of 6/16/2022 project was already awarded for $140,827.96. The Town of Gila Bend, hereinafterreferred to asthe Town,through a Community Development Block Grant(CDBG) from the Maricopa County CDBG Program, will accept bids from qualified firms or individuals with an A (A-2, A-3, A-5, A-12, A-14) engineering contracting commercial license as registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to perform the following services: removal and replacement of water valves, pumps, fittings and the installation of new telemetry, flow meter and electrical controllers, and miscellaneous and contingent construction work, all part of the MAIN STREET BOOSTER PUMP STATION PROJECT. The bidder must be registered and provide proof of registration in federal System for Award Management (SAM) registry at the time of bid submittal Thisfederally funded project consists of the removal,replacement,rewiring and rebuilding of various pumps, valves, pipes, electrical and mechanical appurtenances within the existing Main Street Booster Pump Station located at 502 E. Main Street in Gila Bend, Arizona. The major items of work include the following construction items: 1. Provide temporary by-pass piping, valves, connections and pumping 2. Remove and replace existing pumps, valves, pipes and appurtenances 3. Rebuild emergency (diesel) pump 4. Replace electrical cabinet, wiring and various other electrical components with upgraded equipment 5. Provide new flow meter 6. Startup/Commissioning of site 7. Miscellaneous Work Item Installations, Removals, and Relocations And any and all other associated contingent and miscellaneous items of work to complete the proposed improvements to the booster station as directed by the Town of Gila Bend. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, services, transportation, and perform all the work for the project known as the Main Street Booster Pump Station Project for the Town of Gila Bend, Arizona, as called for in the Technical Specifications and on the Plans (Drawings). The proposer should prepare and provide a detailed time schedule for completion. Deadline for Bidder Questions Monday 04/11/2022 5:00 PM Final Addendum Issued Tuesday 04/12/2022 Cob Council Award of Project Tuesday 04/26/2022 Contract & Notice to Proceed Monday 05/09/2022 Construction Period 100 Calendar Days Completion of Construction Monday 08/18/2022 Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each proposal. Bonding companies issuing acceptable bonds in conjunction with this project must hold a certification of authority to transact surety business in Arizona as issued by the Director of the Department of Insurance. All bid security shall be made payable, without condition, to the Town of Gila Bend. Said bid security shall be considered liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the Town of Gila Bend in the event the proposal is accepted and the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) working days after the notice of bid award. Such deposit will be refunded upon return of the contract documents, plans, and specifications with the proposal; orreturn of the contract documents, plans, and specificationsin good order within one (1) week ofthe bid opening date;said deposit to otherwise be forfeited to the to the Town of Gila Bend. Limit of two (2)sets of documents per general contractor. Additional sets may be purchased at $35.00 per set. To receive plans and specs by priority mail, include a separate check for $20.00 payable to the Town of Gila Bend. Mailing fees are not refundable. The Town of Gila Bend also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of opening. Bidders will not be allowed to withdraw submitted bids during the ninety (90) day period.
