The scope of construction work consists of the following approximate estimated quantities: Mill Pavement Surface (NDDOT 411) 10,306 Square Yards Tack Coat (NDDOT 401) - 992 Gallons Bituminous Pavement - Wearing Course Overlay (CL27) (110 lbs/in/sy)(6% PG-58-28 Cement) - 2,232 Ton Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope on forms furnished as part of the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied, in a separate sealed envelope attached to the outside of the envelope containing the bid, a bidders bond in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid made payable to the order of or the benefit of the City of Gilby and a copy of the Contractor's license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State. The bid bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to be business in the State of North Dakota. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as provided by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. A Contractor must be the holder of the North Dakota license at least ten (10) days prior to the date set for receiving bids to be a qualified bidder. A bid submitted without this information in a separate sealed envelope attached to the outside of the envelope containing the bid will not be read nor considered and shall be returned to the bidder immediately. Also to be included with the envelope containing the bid shall be a list of subcontractors and suppliers to be utilized by the contractor in the performance of the work. Each bid shall be sealed and delivered to the office of Pribula Engineering, PLLC at the location designated in this notice for the opening of proposals at or before the time set in this notice. Proposals mailed must arrive in mail box by date and time designated on this notice. The bond shall be given as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Gilby and furnish the required payment and performance bonds and certificates of insurance and endorsements within ten (10) calendar days after the notice of award, and will be declared forfeited if the bidder refuses to enter into said contract or furnish the required bonds or certificates of insurance and endorsements if his bid is accepted. The City of Gilby, reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared and contract(s) awarded, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularity in any bid.
