Renovation of a fire / police facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

As of June 21, 2022 bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Roof Rehabilitation at the Queens Police and Enforcement Buildings at 51-13 & 51-15 FLUSHING AVENUE, QUEENS, NY 11378 A. This is a Lump Sum and Unit Price Contract for furnishing all labor, material and appurtenances associated with Roof Rehabilitation for New York City Department of Sanitation ("DSNY" or "the Department") Facility in Queens, New York; specifically, Roof Rehabilitation at the Queens Police & Enforcement Buildings at 51-13 & 51-15 Flushing Avenue, Queens, NY 11378, as shown on the drawings, as specified herein, and as directed by the Resident Engineer. B. DSNY seeks to enter into a contract for Roof Rehabilitation at the Queens Police & Enforcement Buildings at 51-13 & 51-15 Flushing Avenue, Queens, NY 11378. Prospective contractors will bid on all Lump Sum and Unit Price work shown and specified in the contract documents. Enforcement Building- 1. Remove existing clay tile roof down to existing wood sleeper, install 16 inch batten seam panel with POLYISO insulation / 3/4 in plywood sheathing w/ ice & shield underlayment. 2. Replace existing gutters and leaders with new metal gutters and leaders. 3. Excavate to expose existing storm line, tie-in new cast iron leader with clean out at southeast corner of the building and at one story oil tank structure. Backfill and restore asphalt pavement. 4. Remove and replace loose / spalling / missing concrete stucco eaves, scrape, prime and paint exposed steel angle frames and install 18 GA sheet metal eaves. 5. Install two pipe of snow guard at new batten seam roofing along the perimeter of the roof. 6. Remove and install new surface mounted metal cap flashing set into new masonry reglet. 7. Remove existing bur system down to existing substrate at elevator machine room (EMR) bulkhead and install new hybrid built up SBS MB 3 ply built up roof system. 8. Replace existing clay and stone coping members with precast coping stone set on new metal coping and counter flashing at (EMR) bulkhead. 9. Replace existing scupper and leader with new metal scupper and leader and collector system. 10. Scrape, prime and paint existing steel ladder. 11. Cut, rake and repoint interior surface of existing masonry parapet wall. 12. Replace asphalt shingles with vertical metal panels. 13. Replace spalling slate coping stone with precast coping stone set on new coping 1. Repair damaged cement stucco surfaces on attic walls and underside of roof deck and re-paint. Police Building: 17. Remove bituminous coating, cut, rake and re-grout existing transverse and horizontal joints at stone cornice. 18. Repair spalled surfaces at stone cornice with repair mortar. Seal surface with stone sealer. 19. Remove and install new metal flashing at roof scupper. 20. Remove and install in-wall scupper flashing and tie in to existing BUR. 21. Remove and install new base and counter flashing along entire length where sloped metal roof tie into masonry wall. Cap flashing tied into existing metal roof. 22. Repair plaster damage on walls and ceiling and re-paint.
