Since offering its first classes at area high schools in 1985, Collin County Community College District has expandedto serve over 59,000 credit and non-credit students each year. The District currently offers classes at ten (10) campuses and centers throughout Collin County. Before commencing work on Collin County Community College District (District) property, the Vendor shall, at its own expense, procure, pay for and maintain for the life of the contract, the required insurance written by companies approved by the state of Texas and acceptable to the District. The Vendor shall furnish to the District's Purchasing Director within ten (10) days of notification of award certificates of insurance or a copy of their insurance policy(s) executed by the insurer or its authorized agent stating coverages, limits, expiration dates and compliance with all applicable required provisions. Vendors shall provide the District evidence that all subcontractors performing work on the project have the same types and amounts of coverages as required herein or that the subcontractors are included under the Vendor's policy. Work shall not commence until insurance has been approved by the District Purchasing Director. Vendors who are awarded district-wide contracts will be required to provide goods and services for existing and future campuses and centers, as applicable, at the terms, conditions and pricing as awarded herein. In the case of services, the District reserves the right to negotiate any additional cost with the awarded vendor to provide said services at the new campuses. Bonds in the amounts prescribed below shall be required to be posted by the contractor as follows: 1. Bids $25,000 or more - Labor and Material Payment Bond - bond amount to be one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price 2. Bids of $100,000 or more - Performance Bond - bond amount to be one hundred percent (100%) of total contract price. Names of firms submitting bids shall be the same on the bid form, and all bonds. Bonds shall be issued by a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds shall be received in the Purchasing Department within ten (10) days after notification of bid award. Collin reserves the right to reject any and all bids considered non-responsive. Collin also reserves the right to include additional points in evaluation criteria for those vendors that respond electronically.
