Board of Education of the Poway Unified School District ("District"), acting by and through its governing board, will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services for the PHS Greenhouse Project. The project will be for work performed at one (1) school site within the District (Poway High School). Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professional Code and shall be licensed in the following classifications: General B Licensure. Each Bidder shall also have no less than ten (10) years of experience in the magnitude and character of the work bid. The successful Contractor will be required to supply and install a DSA approved and prefabricated greenhouse with associated infrastructure and renovation to an existing agricultural building; as well as supply and install shade structures and associated life, safety, and accessibility requirements (according to District plans, specifications, and contract documents). Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the bid documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company, or certified check, or cashier's check in favor of the Poway Unified School District, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Said Bid Bond shall be given to guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract as specified, within three (3) working days after the notification of the award of the contract to bidder. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be required. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
