All bids remain valid for 90 calendar days after the Bid Deadline. Specification references to certain brands, makes, or manufacturers state only the general style, type, character, and quality desired. Equivalent products are acceptable. The City is not responsible for bid costs. Procurements produce no exclusive right to City work or purchases The purchasing date and time stamp clock will be the official and sole device for determining time of receipt for all mailed and hand delivered bids. Bids received after the Bid Deadline will be date stamped and returned to the bidder unopened. A. It is the intent of this project to install drainage, sewer, and waterlines and remove and reconstruct the streets specified in the proposal. B. Removal and reconstruction work shall be accomplished in accordance with the construction documents and shall include but is not limited to the following: 1. Installing drainage, sewer and water main systems as shown on the plans. 2. Removing existing pavement and excavating to as shown on the plans. Hauling and legally disposing of existing pavement and surplus materials from the project site. 3. Constructing new concrete curbs or curbs and gutters. 4. Constructing asphalt pavement or Portland cement concrete pavement. 5. Replacing concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons. 6. Constructing concrete handicap ramps at locations shown on the plans. 7. Other work incidental to the project as shown on the plans. C. The Director reserves the right to reduce, delete or increase the quantity of any item in the proposal.
