As of 4/20/2022, bids are being evaluated. Timeline for award has not been established. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all concrete, steel, appurtenances, tools, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to remove and install complete in place approximately 1 mile of a six lane divided roadway, turn lanes, sidewalk with ADA ramps, replacement of two street light foundations, irrigation system modifications and repairs, together with all associated appurtenances to complete this project in the City of Irving. The Contractor shall utilize existing City right-of-way or easements to stockpile equipment and materials for the construction of the project. If additional space is required beyond the limits of existing City right-of-way or easements, the Contractor shall obtain the permission of all impacted private property owners. The Contractor shall have all applicable private property owners complete the attached "Temporary Stockpile of Construction Materials and Access on Private Property" form letter. The Contractor shall submit all wet signed original form letters to the City's Engineering Inspector prior to the use of any private property. The Contractor shall be required to furnish a water meter for metering all water used on this project. The Contractor shall pay for all water used on this project directly to the City of Irving Water Department when the job is completed and before final acceptance by the Engineering Department. During Irving stage 2 water restrictions, the contractor may not be allowed to obtain water from fire hydrants along the project, but rather be directed to obtain water from specified locations within the City of Irving. Permit will be required to use City of Irving water during stage 1, 2, or 3 water restrictions and is attached. Cost range is between $5M and $10M. Probable cost of construction estimate $8M.
