DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) W912QR22B0005 Replace DDC at Hines IT Center (HITC) Hines, IL. This project is a DBB renovation of the existing HVAC controls system within HITC bldg. 215. The existing controls and infrastructure will be removed and replaced to includes all sensors, actuators and meter for the existing equipment, wiring and raceways to include system hardware and software decommissioning. HITC building is approximately 140,000SF +/- over 2 stories. It was constructed in the 1970's with second floor addition in the 1980's. The building contains mixed office and administrative spaces as well as a core data center for the VA. TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This IFB will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be advertised as Full and Open Competition SELECTION PROCESS: This is a sealed bid procurement operating under FAR Part 14. The bids will be evaluated based on the lowest price submitted. CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204.
