Prior to the close of the bid period, a person may submit, in writing, to the city representative, a request for interpretation or correction of the request for bid documents. All requests must be made in writing and received by the city representative no later than 5:00 p.M. On april 18, 2022. Such requests, if any, must be sent to the city representative by emailing cdillman@ci.Claremont.Ca.Us. All bids shall be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond, made payable to the CITY for an amount equal to and not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid, and no bid shall be considered unless such cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond is enclosed therewith. A Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder for an amount equal to and not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid and shall be good for the initial term of the contract. Thereafter, the Performance Bond can renew annually with every one-year extension. The successful respondent will be expected to sign a Contract. The initial term of the Contract is for three (3) years with two (2) optional one-year extensions. A sample Contract is included in this document. The final Contract will include this request for proposal and the successful Bidder's response. Please do not execute the Contract at this time.
