The project is expected to be awarded on May 24, 2022..** The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to demo an existing intersection, realign layout, install new base, asphalt, curb/gutter and build a new 5,300 sf asphalt/base cul-de-sac, grading, drainage, striping, signage and erosion control according to the construction plans and details in the specifications. Refer to the Technical Specifications for complete details The work on the project must be completed by September 28, 2022 and within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, made payable to the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five (5) percent of the lump sum bid. Separate contract Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder prior to execution of contracts. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded.
