Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wilton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Proposals are invited by the Town of Wilton for the construction of a walkway and pedestrian bridge connecting Wilton Station to Wilton Center. The project consists of excavation of a flood bench along the banks of the Norwalk River, construction of bridge abutments and retaining walls, placement of a prefabricated pedestrian truss bridge, surfacing a portion of the walkway, and associated lighting and landscape improvements. On the west side of the river, the surfaced walkway extends south beneath the Route 33 bridge, connecting to an existing parking lot in Wilton Center. The project may require water handling and requires coordination with the railroad because of work in close proximity to the railroad right of way. The project is funded by a Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) grant from the State of Connecticut, which was administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The State Project Number is L161-0001. The Town will be responsible for the administration of the construction. All qualified and interested parties (hereinafter referred to as proposer, bidder, contractor or supplier) are invited to submit proposals under the terms and conditions set forth as follows. This RFP is not a contract offer, and no contract exists until a written contract is signed by the Town and the successful proposer. It's the sole responsibility of the contractor/ vendor to check the Town's website for any addenda. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
