Renovation of a residential development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Please note, vendors must remain for the mandatory site visit in its entirety in order to ask questions regarding the specifications of this project. Leaving the site visit early will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. Any Vendor Questions Not Asked at the Site Visit Must Be Submitted in Writing to Brooklvn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov Within 2 Business Days of the Site Visit (April 18, 2022). Questions and Answers Will Be Provided to All Who Attended the Site Visit by April 21, 2022. The Staten Island DDSOO Maintenance point of contact for this project is Lenward Hotness (718) 983-5342 or (347) 850-5112. The Staten Island DDSOO will make no concessions to the Contractor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Staten Island DDSOO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding upon the contractor. The Staten Island DDSOO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Staten Island DDSOO reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. In deciding whether to or not to submit a quote, please be aware that the winning vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded contractor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and Signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. NOTE: NYS Labor law requires that all contract employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in State owned buildings are entitled to receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which s/he is working. We reserve the right to review payrolls and/or inspect job sites. It is the responsibility of the contractor to keep sufficient records to demonstrate prevailing wages are being paid to all individuals and submits to the contracting agency a transcript of the original payroll records within 30 days after issuance of its first payroll. We reserve the right to review payrolls and/or inspect job sites. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% This project is to replace the entire HVAC system at 795 Rockland Avenue with a new and more reliable and efficient system. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to the attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of the replacement of the HVAC units, and before removal of equipment and scaffolding, the contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the Plant Superintendent. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove old furnaces with "A" coils from the basement 2. Remove old condensing units along with the old copper line sets 3. Supply and install two (2) heat pump units with new Trane R-410A units Model # 4TWR7036B or equivalent models (36,000 Btu/Hr.) 4. Supply and install two (2) new Trane Gas Fired Furnace Model # S9X1B080U4PSB or equivalent model 5. Supply and install two (2) new Trane evaporator coils Model # 4PXCBU48BS3HAA capable of fitting the furnaces, or equivalent model 6. Supplyand install two (2) new sets of refrigerant lines 7. Supplyand install two (2) new electrical disconnect switches 8. Supplyand install two (2) new pre fab. Bases 9. Fabricate and install any transition ductwork required toconnect the new air handler to existing duct system 10. Test and operate all systems to the satisfaction of the facility
