A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project scope includes the construction of new and replacement of old sidewalk, concrete driveway aprons, ADA compliant curb ramps, curb, restoration, and other miscellaneous work. All work on this contract shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Township Clerk, 711 Broad Street, Florence, New Jersey 08518, and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township of Florence and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Treasurer of the Township of Florence for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Florence in a lawful manner. The Township or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. This Contract is subject to US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program Regulations and Federal Labor Standards provisions. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN. THIS IS A SECTION 3 PROJECT OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1968, AND, TO THE GREATEST EXTENT FEASIBLE, OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT MUST BE GIVEN TO LOW AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS RESIDING WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA; THE PROJECT MUST UTILIZE BUSINESSES LOCATED IN OR OWNED IN SUBSTANTIAL PART BY PERSONS RESIDING WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA.
