Site work and paving for a road / highway in Granton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The County of Perth intends to apply a Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) on Perth Road 139 from the western limits of the Town of St. Mary's to Whalen Line, a distance of approximately 9.4 centreline kilometres, prior to the placement of surface asphalt. The objective of this undertaking is to embed a SAMI layer between the existing asphalt surface and the new asphalt surface with the aim to retard, or delay, the effects of reflective cracking into the new layer of asphalt pavement.
