A new system of fully functional in-ground post lifts, capable of lifting the expected weight of a 35 ft. transit bus, will then be installed by the vendor as a replacement. Bid security shall be a bond provided by a surety company authorized to do business in the State, or in the form of a certified check. Such bonds may also be required on construction contracts under $10,000 or other procurement contracts when circumstances warrant. Bid security shall be in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. When a construction contract is awarded in excess of $25,000 the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State.
