The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to replace the Steam coil for The Dist. 1 AH located in the Sign shop per the information in this solicitation. Off-site disposal of all demolition debris is required. Contractor will be responsible to field verify measurements prior to ordering materials. Scope of Work: All work to be done during normal business hours 6:30am-4:00pm Mon- Fri. After hours are available with prior approval. Shut down all mechanical equipment prior to starting and use lock-out tagout procedure. Isolate, drain, remove, and dispose of old steam coil. Provide and install new parts to match existing capacity with like equipment or equal. Provide piping insulation repairs when work is complete. Verify above listed work is per local plumbing code. Start and test operation when work is complete. Any additional items or parts found defective need approval prior to completing. Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. The project period to begin upon contract award; and to be completed on or before June 30, 2022 or as determined by project manager after preconstruction meeting. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the IONwave Bid system through the cut off period for question submissions. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled at this time.
