**This project has been awarded to Rousseau Services LLC in the amount of $68,403. ** Summary of requested services Independent weed suppression using power tools on listed trails and roads under the jurisdiction of the Oahu Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW). Specifications for roads and trails are different. Therefore, the scope of service is broken into two (2) parts; part one (1) being the specifications for trails, and part two (2) being specifications for roads. For this solicitation, trails and roads have been grouped together into six (6) line items according to their geographic location or by common road and trail system. Whereby, vendors may bid on all or any number of line items. Vendors will be required to provide dally text reports, monthly accomplishment reports and certified payroll reports. Offer Price shall include all related taxes. Vendor must be HCE compliant to qualify for selection. Wiliwilinui Access Road - 1.5 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from the end of the paved BWS road to the trail head. o Access notes: This road requires keys for access and is mostly dirt. o Primary target species: Guinea Grass and Palm grass. o Warnings: This road is narrow heavily used by management vehicles and recreation. Slippery when wet with some steep sections, maybe undrivable. 2. Maunawili - Waimanalo Rd. - 1 Mile o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from the end of the paved BWS road to the trail head. o Access notes: This road requires keys for access and is mostly dirt. o Primary target species: Guinea Grass and Palm grass. o Warnings: This road is narrow heavily used by management vehicles and recreation. Slippery when wet with some steep sections, maybe undrivable. 3. Kamananui Valley Road - 1.5 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from yellow gate inside C&C park to last stream crossing. Clear any Uluhe fern five feet above the edge of the road or any vegetation overhanging the road on the upper section. o Access notes: Gate needs key. o Primary target species: Elephant grass with some Guinea Grass and Palm grass. o Warnings: This road is used by the public with some hunter's vehicles and management vehicles. 4. Poamoho Hele Loa - 6 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from highway gate to trailhead. Clear Uluhe fern five feet above the edge of the road or any vegetation overhanging the road on the upper section. o Access notes: Gate #1 requires key - Gate #2 not locked. o Primary target species: Guinea Grass, Palm grass, Clidema. o Warnings: Management vehicles use this road frequently. 5. Mokuleia Access Road - 3.57 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from highway gate to Nike Site facility gate. o Access notes: This road will require keys for access. o Primary target species: Guinea Grass, Molasses grass. o Warnings: This road is heavily used by management vehicles and recreation. 6. Kuaokala (Mauka and Makai) Roads- 13.7 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from the end of the paved road at the tracking station to the paved Mokuleia Nike Site access road. o Access notes: This road requires keys for access and is dirt. o Primary target species: Molasses grass, Elephant grass with some Guinea Grass and Palm grass. o Warnings: This road is heavily used by management vehicles and recreation. Slippery when wet with some steep sections. 7. Kealia Upper Access Rd - 1.1 Miles o Prescription: Brush vegetation within road corridor from the road junction with the Kuaokala road to the Kealia trail shelter or the upper Kealia trailhead. o Access notes: This road requires keys for access and is dirt. o Primary target species: Molasses grass, Guinea Grass and Palm grass. o Warnings: Slippery when wet with some very steep sections.
