Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Elwood, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
Proposals will be acted upon by the Clinton County Board of Supervisors at a meeting to be held at the Clinton County Administration Building, Clinton, Iowa, on April 25, 2022 or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. Bids will be received for the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment to demolish the existing structure and construct a new equipment storage facility in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid amount made payable to the Clinton County Engineer, as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within thirty (30) calendar days. Liquidated damages of $100.00 per each calendar day elapsing after the expiration ofthe contract period in which building demolition has occurred. Completion Date: If existing building is demolished in 2022 then new building shall be completed by December 1, 2022. If existing building is demolished in 2022 then new building shall be completed by December 1, 2022. Demolition of the existing building will not be allowed between December 1, 2022 and March 15, 2023.
