The project generally consists of the resurfacing of the Middle School parking lot, improvements to the Administrative Office parking lot, and the reconstruction of the High School tennis courts. Approximate construction quantities for significant bid items include 12,800 SY of HMA milling (variable thickness), 2,000 CY of unclassified excavation, 1,400 LF of concrete curb, 2,000 tons of HMA surface course, 2,100 tons of HMA base course, and the necessary equipment, coating, and striping for six tennis courts. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the Base Bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24), naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, Winslow Township School District, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in Contract Documents in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurance certificates as required by Contract Documents. The Public Works Contractor Registration Act N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. requires that the Contractor and Subcontractors must be registered at the time of Bid. The Owner is requesting that copies of the Certificates be included in the Contractor's Bid Package. Pursuant to N.J.S.A.52:32-44 all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue before the contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business.
