The purpose of this Request for Bid is to solicit competitive bids from qualified suppliers for Traffic Marking Paint for Canyons School District (CSD). It is anticipated that this RFB may result in a contract awarded to a qualified supplier for commodities as defined further in the solicitation. This RFB is designed to provide interested suppliers with sufficient basic information to submit bids meeting minimum requirements, but is not intended to limit a bid's content or exclude any relevant or essential data. All bid preparation costs and any associated activities related to this RFB are the sole responsibility of the Supplier. Question Cutoff Date 4/6/2022 02:00:00 PM (ET) The paint will only be utilized during the summer months of June, July, and August, and it is required of the successful supplier to stock an adequate amount of each color based on CSDs anticipated annual summer usage. CSD may purchase all anticipated paint at one time based on product availability. CSDs current paint brand is Sherwin Williams SETFAST Acrylic paint. If you plan on bidding an alternate you must meet the current drying schedule. CSD has had experience with longer drying times and found more issues with individuals tracking paint in unwanted areas. CSD may require that alternates be tested prior to purchase. When using Utah State Contract pricing, please reference contract number. Contract Period CSD intends to award a contract associated with this solicitation that will continue for one (1) year. Each bid must include an option whereby CSD, in its sole discretion, can extend the contract annually for up two (2) additional years on the same terms, prices, and conditions set forth in the bid. If the option is not exercised, then the contract shall automatically expire at the end of the contract term. Notice of exercise of the option must be given at least ninety (90) days prior to the end of the contract term.
