Site work for a civil project in Lake Forest, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The purpose of the RFP is to select a professional engineering firm to provide the City with engineering services to complete Seminary Ravine Improvements Design. This request for work involves the design of various improvements to specific ravine areas bounded by N Sheridan Road on the west, the storm sewer outfall at 575 Westminster on the north, Rosemary Road on the south, and N Mayflower Road on the east. Professional engineering services for the Seminary Ravine Improvements Design will include, but are not limited to, site review, surveying, wetland assessment, regulatory requirement review, permitting, structural and/or geotechnical engineering as determined to be necessary, development of all construction documents, development of cost estimates, bid process support, and construction phase services. Additionally, the selected firm will be expected to collaborate with City staff which may include, but is not limited to, the Public Works Department (to include the Engineering Section) and the Parks and Recreation Department. The firm may also be required to present designed plans to City Boards and Commissions which may include, but are not limited to, the Public Works Committee, Finance Committee, and City Council. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
