Johnson Animal Research and Teaching Unit (JARTU) ; The general scope of work for JARTU is to renovate the major mechanical systems and building direct-digital control (DDC) systems. Specifically, the major scope items include (1) replacement of five air handlers and four exhaust air handlers serving the air disribution system; (2) replacementof the chilled water generation plant, inclduing chiller, cooling tower, and pumps; (3) refurbishment of the steam, condensate return, and heating hot water piping in the boiler rooms. This includes replacement of pumps, but not boilers or boiler feed equipment; and (4) replacement of DDC system with new open-protocol system. (5) Addition of emergency generator to serve chiller plant. Bidders shall be licensed and qualified per state law. Five percent (5%) Bid Security is required in the form of a Bid Bond or check (certified or cashier's) made payable to State of Tennessee. Non-discrimination policy applies.
