Renovation of a mixed-use development in Dayton, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.
As of January 18, 2024, this project is seeking funding. Further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Provide facility upgrades and a dedicated archive space. Currently, Wright State's Special Collections and Archives is stored in various areas of campus and is not adequately protected from environmental degradation. This decreases the longevity of the collection, which serves historical importance in relation to the history of the Miami Valley and aviation history on a worldwide scope. The Archives Facilities Project seeks to bring these materials under one roof and provide appropriate fire suppression and environmental controls for protection of the collection and availability for future generations. To assist with the project, Wright State University is seeking $2.5 million in funding through an application submitted to the Dayton Regional Priority Development and Advocacy Committee (PDAC) *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
