HVAC - FRESH AIR PROJECT COLUMBUS PUBLIC SCHOOLS 1. PROJECT INFORMATION. Columbus Public School District No. NE-71-0001, commonly known as Columbus Public Schools (the District ), is requesting bids from qualified individuals or entities for a construction project that includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, general construction, structural, mechanical, and electrical work for the completion of HVAC fresh air upgrades at the existing Lost Creek Elementary School, Centennial Elementary School, North Park Elementary School, and West Park Elementary School. The project sites will be available immediately upon the Columbus Public Schools issuing a Notice to Proceed, with construction to commence on or about May 31, 2022. The district s goal for substantial completion of the project is August 31, 2022. Bidders may propose an alternative date for substantial completion and such date, if any, must be included on the Bid Form that the Bidder submits. Finally, all bidders must agree to follow Davis Bacon laws in accordance with the use of federal funds which are being used with this project. Bids shall be submitted with one prime bid by one General Contractor that includes all subcontracts. Bids shall be submitted with a Bid Bond and a Performance & Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid. 4. AWARDING OF BID. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder at the Bid Opening on April 12th, 2022 pending review and The Board of Education approval on April 14, 2022. 5. BIDDING DOCUMENTS.
