Any and all questions / clarifications shall be submitted in writing to info@hudsonlight.com no later than Thursday, March 31st, 2022. The Bid shall cover the purchase of Services and Material, as set forth in the attached specifications. The bid shall consist of a period of one year with an option for a second year and shall include a minimum of thirty (30) weeks of tree trimming in each contract year from the first week of May thru the last week of November. The Town will accept or reject any or all bids on any or all items within thirty days after the date set for opening bids. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 10 days after the date of opening the bids. A Bid bond duly executed by the Bidder as principal must accompany each bid and having as security thereon a Surety Company approved by the Town in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. Such bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest formal Bidders within ten (10) days after the formal opening of the bids, and the remaining Bid Bonds will be returned to all other Bidders, except the successful Bidder within 48 hours after the Town and the accepted Bidder have executed the contract, or if no contract is executed within thirty (30) days after the date of opening of the bids upon the demand of the Bidder at any time thereafter so long as they have not been notified of acceptance of their Bid. A Bidder, if they so choose, may deposit with the Town a certified Check in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid as Bid Security, which will be treated as a Bid Bond.
