Renovation of a swimming pool in Galesburg, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and Performance Bonds will be required for this project. Vendors will be required to comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations. The submission of the bid by the offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act (30 ILCS 570). Resolution No. 90-74 requires compliance with the Human Relations Act and all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations. The contract award shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid properly addresses and complies with the invitation and is most advantageous to the City of Galesburg; price and other factors considered. The right is reserved to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Roof Replacement including gutter, downspouts, and sheet metal trim. Door and frame replacement as indicated. Window replacement as indicated. Exterior Masonry: 100% repoint. 15% brick replacement(not included where indicated on east exterior elevation), Rebuild masonry walls where indicated, Sawcut expansion joints as indicated. Application of water repellent coating. Exterior Concrete: Crack repair as indicated. Spall repair as indicated. Stair replacement as indicated. Application of water repellent coating. Steel lintel replacement above all exterior masonry openings. Installation of new vinyl siding around clerestory translucent wall panels Steel Columns: 1) Repairs as indicated. 2) Clean to bare steel.3) Prime and paint. Steel trusses and girders: 1) Clean to bare steel. 2) Prime and paint. Steel Railing (interior): 1) Salvage, clean, and paint. Interior Masonry: 1) New column enclosures as indicated. 2) New bench along west wall as indicated. 3) 100% clay tile repointing. 4) 15% clay tile replacement. 5) Repoint brick walls below clerestory windows (does not include arches). 6) 100% glazed block repointing along east exterior wall. 7) Rebuild masonry wall adjacent to Vestibule door 100B. 8) Rebuild northwest masonry corner in Pool room.Wood: 1) Pool Roof Deck - Clean and paint 2) Mezzanine Storage Rooms (2) - Roof Deck - Prep for paint, prime and paint. 3) Replace 2x10s along east and west exterior walls where wall meets roof with new 1x10 PVC boards. Interior Concrete: 1) Installation of new curb to replace deteriorated curb along east edge of Pool. 2) Spall repairs in crawlspace and underside of southwest corner of mezzanine. 3) Alternate #1: Grind existing concrete, preparation of new water resistive coating and application of coating. Floor at East Vestibule: 1) Provide cementitious underlayment for flush condition at each threshold. 2) Provide sealed concrete finish over cementitious underlayment. Miscellaneous: 1) Removal, salvage and reinstallation of speakers, wiring, and conduit for repointing of masonry and replacement of wood 2x10s. 2) Cleaning and repainting of exposed ducts.
